Welcome

Speed-The-Plow was first presented by Lincoln Center Theatre at the Royale Theatre, Broadway, opening on May 3, 1988. It was most recently revived on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in October 2008.

Jeremy Piven, star of HBO's popular series Entourage, makes his Broadway debut in the first Broadway revival of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow. Originally produced on Broadway in 1988 with Ron Silver, Joe Mantegna, and Madonna, Speed-the-Plow is a scathing satire about Hollywood types. Mamet's other notable plays include the Pulitzer Prize-winning Glengarry Glen Ross, American Buffalo, and November starring Nathan Lane. Mamet is also no stranger to Hollywood himself, having written and/or directed several films, including Redbelt, The Spanish Prisoner, and Wag the Dog.
